Why I Started Sport Fitness Advisor
Hi, this is Jacky Anderson. You can read more about my background here. From day 1 (back in early 2001) my goal for Sport Fitness Advisor has been to offer scientifically-backed exercise tips and training plans.
When it comes to fitness, the Web is littered with subjective opinion, sweeping generalisations and lots (lots!) of hype.
I’m a strong believer in evidence-based content – content that is backed up by scientific research. That’s why you’ll see a list of references at the bottom of most of my articles.
In simple terms, what you read on this site is NOT simply my personal opinion – it’s what I have interpreted as the conclusions of sports scientists around the world. These scientists don’t have ulterior motives, they aren’t trying to sell you a magic pill and they aren’t in the back pocket of a large supplement company. Well, mostly.
